    Srinagar Airport- Srinagar air port also known as Sheikh ul-Alam International Airport. You can reach Srinagar International Airport by direct flight or by domestic flights via Delhi, Goa, Mumbai, and Jammu. Air India, GoAir and IndiGo have flights for Srinagar.

  • Jammu Airport - Jammu airport is a domestic airport. Jammu Airport can be reached from all major cities of India. GoAir, Vistara, and Air India have flights for Jammu.

  • By Road

    All major cities in Jammu and Kashmir are well connected to the National Highway. Jawahar Tunnel is one of the longest tunnel-road of India which is connecting Jammu with the Kashmir Valley. You can take private vehicle or state transport bus to Jammu, Srinagar and other locations.

  • By Rail

    There are several trains to reach Jammu Railway Station including Delhi-Jammu Tawi, Rajdhani Express, Jammu Mail and Jammu Tawi Express. Trains run till Jammu railway station only. Kashmir region is not connected via trains. From there you can choose the road for the rest of the trip.

  • When is the best time to visit Jammu and Kashmir?

    • Do not miss a chance to live in the houseboats. Houseboats may look scary if somebody is scared of water, but they are entirely safe. Traditional Houseboats may offer you an experience which you will never forget. They are easily approachable and very affordable too.

    • Though the valley is quiet and calm from the last 20+ years, the security is still very tight, especially on the most important locations. Please make sure you cooperate with the security forces and do not argue if they stop you from entering any location. Most of the security personals are friendly and helpful, and you will not even notice their presence around you.

    • Keep your valuables like travel documents, wallets etc. with you.

    • Jammu and Kashmir are mostly on the colder side throughout the year. Make sure to pack some warm clothes even if you are visiting during the summer season.
